The law affecting fire appliances has varied much over the years and “grey” areas of legislation have been interpreted in different ways. The EC will not give advice on specific matters as it is likely only a court of law can determine the outcome. It is up to members to ensure that their appliances are compliant with current legislation and that the correct licences are held to operate/drive them.
